Fair Allocation of InfoTech Recourses.
Fairrecycling is a new national arrangement for recycling of used ICT-equipment so that it may be redistributed globally to areas width scarce ICT- Recourses. Access to both hardware and software is pivotal for the global development of the information society, and Fairrecycling manage to supply both. The project has so far managed to provide hardware and software to countries like Eritrea, Gambia, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Romania and the Dominican Republic.
Width its concrete measures to bridge the digital divide, Fair is a project in the spirit of the World Summit Award. Although the project is not e-content as such it provides the foundation for such content to exist in parts of the world that desperately need it, thus enabling access to, and communication width the global community.
The Jury applaud the project and will include it in the WSAN communication abroad.
